Pickwick Lake map
Pickwick Lake is the TVA reservoir downstream of Wilson Dam. TVA describes Pickwick Landing Dam as the second main-river dam the agency built. In Alabama the pool is in Colbert and Lauderdale counties. It also covers parts of Tishomingo County, Mississippi, and Hardin County, Tennessee.
Waterloo, Riverton, and the state lines
TVA’s account of the project says the reservoir affected Hardin County, Tennessee, Tishomingo County, Mississippi, and Colbert and Lauderdale counties in Alabama. The same history says Waterloo and Riverton, both in Alabama, were partly flooded and that 506 families were relocated. A printed map of Pickwick shows that widened river, including shoreline that is not in Alabama. The Federal Register notice for TVA’s Pickwick land plan names the same three states.
