Alabama Power’s shoreline guide lists 11,235 acres, 339 miles of shoreline, and a full pool of 508 feet. The company classes Neely Henry as a storage lake, and its description of flood operations names Gadsden as this reservoir’s control point. That is the practical difference from Weiss upstream, which is also storage but sits entirely in Cherokee County in the same guide, and from Logan Martin downstream, whose dam is near Vincent.
