Aliceville Lake map
Aliceville Lake is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir on the Tombigbee River and the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. A U.S. Geological Survey report on the lock says construction finished in 1979, about two miles southwest of Pickensville, with a normal pool elevation of 136 feet. The lock is Tom Bevill Lock and Dam, also called Aliceville Lock and Dam, named for Congressman Tom Bevill.

ADEM’s reservoir note says Aliceville is in Pickens County and extends over the state line into Mississippi. The state conservation department lists 8,300 surface acres. Gainesville Lake is the next Tenn-Tom pool downstream: its dam was completed in 1978, and Howell Heflin Lock sits on a separate canal. Aliceville is not Demopolis Lake, which begins farther downstream where the Black Warrior meets the Tombigbee.
